It's been a few months since a regular update on this site, and while I am sorry I haven't kept it up to date, I've been hard at work on the revised manuscript for Ghostblood, and on the second draft of Leaves.
This is also the most work-intensive part of the process, not just because I need to refine the way the story is told, but also because of what Leaves means to the larger mythos. While it is a self-contained story, it is also the spoke of the wheel, as it were: it references, directly or indirectly, every story I have written (such as North Star or Ghostblood) or plan to write in this setting for the foreseeable future.
The plots of some of these future stories have been in flux for a while, and I would like to make sure Leaves is as future-proof as it can be. So part of the work has involved additional world-building to make sure the details will remain consistent between tales.
Besides, it took me three years to write Leaves due to this complexity, and some elements mentioned at the beginning of the book had changed by the end. I need to be consistent, and make sure all descriptions match as well. It is by far the most comprehensive editing I've done thus far, and it's taking a lot of time to get it done right.
Nevertheless, I will endeavor to re-establish a regular cadence for the posts on this blog, and soon will announce the cover and release date of the revised Ghostblood. Thank you for your patience and I look forward to another adventure with you!
